What is currently known is that 80% of people that contract the virus, experience mild symptoms that do not require hospital care. The most important thing that people can do is to wash their hands, and cover their cough with a tissue and dispose of it right after. Other helpful advice: Staying at home if your symptoms do not require medical attention is recommended. This limits exposure to others and to yourself. If you are having difficulty breathing or have other concerns that require medical attention, please call your clinic. If you have an appointment and are coughing, you will be require to put on a mask upon entry into the building. To be tested for the virus you must meet certain specific criteria. Not everyone with a cough will receive testing. We welcome patients who are on Washington Apple Health, Medicaid, Qualified Health Plans (QHPs), Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Tricare, select private insurances and those who are uninsured. For those without insurance, CHC will help patients sign up for Washington Apple Health; if ineligible, we offer a sliding fee discount based on household income and family size.
